Description

The pressure regulator model RP 10 is a high accuracy instrument capable of maintaining an output pressure of 0 à 4 bar relative (0 to 58 PSIg) (with a maximum input pressure of 10 bar (140 PSIg), for flow rates going from 2 to 5000 Nml/min.

The +/‐ 2 mbar (0.03 PSIg) long term stability is the result of a fully metallic construction based on a nozzle‐valves system without either play or friction.

Due to it’s construction this instrument is ideal for all applications where high stability and reproducibility is required.

Functioning principle

An output pressure drop of P2 generate a downward diaphragm displacement, which pushes the nozzlevalve and allows the gas to flow trough the nozzle to balance the pre‐selected output pressure P2,materialised by the return‐spring and the diaphragm.

The adjusting screw, located on the top of the pressure regulator’s casing, allow to set progressively P2 over the entire pressure range.It is possible to get a regulated pressure P2 independent of the atmospheric pressure variations if a constant reference pressure Pref is generated (vacuum pressure for example)

The flow rate must always be higher than the residual flow rate of 1 scc/min Air, the optimal functioning conditions starts at 2 scc/min Air.

Careful design has eliminated all long term cold creep effects, thus maintaining the initial adjustment characteristics, even after equipment’s exposure to vibrations or shocks up to 8g level.
